Negotiating skills are paramount in real estate transactions to effectively represent a client. Realizing this, Derek wanted to take this concept of negotiation further and he became a certified mediator, with training and certification through the Congress of Neutrals. He routinely serves as a volunteer mediator in the Contra Costa Superior Court in a variety of case types, all in an effort to hone his skills as a mediator and bring parties together. This additional training and ongoing development in mediation skills exponentially assists him when it comes to negotiating real estate transactions for clients.
